Advanced Smile Designs is a full service cosmetic dentistry practice. In addition to helping patients achieve beautiful smiles, the team at Advanced Smile Designs has an emphasis in neuromuscular dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, complex restorative care, and in treating Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD or TMJ). People suffering from TMD or TMJ may have chronic headaches caused by head and jaw muscles being in spasm or cramping. Other signs and symptoms of TMD are jaw joint or facial pain, limited mouth opening, clenching and grinding of teeth, jaw joint noises, and inner ear problems (ear congestion, dizzy spells, or ringing in the ears). In addition, the upper back and cervical spine may be affected.

Terry Forsberg

Terry Forsberg is committed to a philosophy of care that puts the patient’s needs first at all times. His practice is not a "dentistry mill." Patients are seen one at a time so that Dr. Forsberg can provide focused and individualized services that lead to quality results.

Dr. Forsberg is a graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry, and throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuing education in order to provide his patients with the most up-to-date techniques and treatments available. Dr. Forsberg has completed post graduate training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the premier post graduate cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry school in the world. After completing 245 hours of post graduate course work, Dr. Forsberg has earned an LVI Fellowship.

In addition to providing comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry services, Dr. Forsberg has an emphasis in neuromuscular dentistry, dental sleep medicine, and treating TMD or TMJ (Temporomandibular Disorder). While taking courses at LVI, Dr. Forsberg studied under Dr. Kent Smith, the co-founder and co-director of the Dental Organization for Sleep Apnea. Dr. Forsberg has served as a guest lecturer to local dentists, sharing his extensive knowledge of neuromuscular dentistry, TMD-related disorders, cosmetic dentistry, and sleep apnea with his colleagues.

Dr. Forsberg has been a part of the Aptos community for more than 30 years. He has more than 30 years of dental experience and has helped more than 5,000 patients improve their oral health and achieve a beautiful smile.
